Only 33 mins done today...out I go for a lazy hour. 6 hours driving from Albertville to Paris today to be in a position to both watch Cadel win Tour de France (on tv) and live on the Champs tmoz...bravo Cadel
Woohoo - Yell for Cadel has worked, he has slaughtered the Schleck brothers in the time trial and pulls on the maillot jaune at the last possible moment, he just needs to have a safe ride in to Paris via the Champs Elysees and he will have made history for himself and Australia...
This week didn't start well with some lap timing marshals giving me an extra 3-4 laps to complete with no fault of my own before I could start to get back on terms in the 10000m event. As things panned out I suffered like most others in the heat and chasing back on was impossible for me once the hamstring muscles started saying No!! The 1000m result wasn't so bad, finishing 3rd behind the front running three in just over 42 minutes. I have just been going through the motions since the 1000m, cheering on as best I can from the sidelines. When I get back home in coming days I will have a short break and start again ant build up into running from again as soon as the hamstrings can repair themselves. Today was mostly walking on the lush course as Stromlo xc circuits. If by chance I can do a little more than that I will try. Otherwise I look forward to making the long trip home.
All runs done from home this morning with all the stars out under clear skies. I ran 12km in the morning punctuated by watching Paris Roubaix cycling on TV It has been a few years since I was last in France watching the cycling in person and I miss it. TV will have to do.

Doing a 6 to 1 run now, starting with 1km warm-up followed by (1.8km+300m+1.5km+300m+1.2km+300m+900m+300m+600m+300m+300m+300m) then 1km warm-down...
Then sit down and watch the Tour and Yell for Cadel...
Yell for Cadel - Maillot Jaune - Woohoo
