Goulburn Fun Run 10km

More a cross country mountain run than a road race. Starts with more than 1km on lush grass, bike path to a big climb up to Rocky Hill. 200+ rocky stairs after that included, a downhill bitumen descent. More cross coutry to follow with a steep and rocky washout descent. Wetlands with puddles on gravel, bitumen and grass to finish.

Up front Marty was there to chase. I'd secured 2nd in the first kilometre, nothing to do but keep running hard all the way home. I took no risks on the rocky descent, probably lost time there. Organisers are contemplating a course change to take that section out of play. It's dangerous!

All up great fun on a warm, sunny and becoming windy day. Well worth the trip north.

Around the grounds: Keith did a 20km bike session some high intersity efforts. Helen was in Melbourne for the grand final. On Saturday 3 x 6 minute efforts, today 75 minutes 5 x 4 minute efforts.
