ACT Masters Cross Country Championships 8.25km 1st 28:13
At Stromlo perfect weather for ACT Masters XC Championships. We raced with Male under 20. Circuit included 1000m, 2000m and 2 x 2625m loops. All loops undulating to hilly (the longer the loop the steeper the hills, especially the longest loop which has a very steep pinch).

My splits: 1000m 3:15, 3000m (6:53) 10:09,5.6km (9:00) 19:09, 8.25km (9:03) 28:13. A much better run than last year given the two extra very steep hills and 250m of distance. I've still got 120km in my legs last 7 days, down from 140km, reducing to 85km in the next 4 days.
Gabe was out there cheering us on. Kathy and Helen had a great tussle from start to finish.
Tomorrow an easy recovery run. Monday and Wednesday some 1500m specific sessions, same intensity as last week, reduced session volume.
