Runners Shop 10km Road Race 35:33 1st M50+

Cold and very windy for the Runners Shop 10km Road Race, 35:33, 1st M50+. A classy field again for this long running event. I've only been able to run it in the last 2 years, being in France the previous 12 years on the day it was held. My time a big improvement on 2020 which was held in much better weather. My splits (500m): 1:47,1:41,1:37,1:40,1:44,1:41,1;46,1:45,1:45,1:48(dead turn) 1:45,1:50,1:42,1:47,1:48,1:49,1:43,1:50,1:47,1:49. Earlier in the morning I jogged Parkrun Ginninderra in 33 minutes. No amount of blankets and heaters could keep us warm at post event coffee.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
