Strides: 8 x 100, 4 x 200, 800
Cool and windy today, full longs on for a series of strides. With track starting next week short intervals will revert to Tuesday, main session on Saturday. Track will be mostly treated as training in the first part of the year with the exception of a few races in November and early December.
The set: 100s untimed...200s 34.9,33.6,33.2,32.1...800m 2:38. Thursday will be a 2000m at 5000m/10000m pace, depending on how I feel. Still lots of kilometres in the legs after 4 hard weeks. Will be jumping out of my skin by Sunday.

1km warm-up, 6x100m strides then into it:
2km = 8.00 - set watch for 24s - check;
800m = 3.06 - set watch for 24s - 6s under;
800m = 3.04 - set watch for 23s - check; and
800m = 3.00 - set watch for 22s - 4s over
Felt good and ran without looking at watch, which is why I missed the mark twice, but happy with the session, getting a bit of aerobic fitness back.
