Damaging Winds on Coast ; 6km Run on Local Coast Trail ; Canberra Times Fun Runs, Steve 5km, 6th overall, 1st in age category.

Morning trip to the Beach, damaging winds from the north with ocean surges onto the shore. I aborted the session and ran 6km from home where there was shelter. It was an easy decision having run three sessions at Glasshouse Rocks yesterday, one of those late afternoon. Remainder of running to be done indoors today. Canberra Times Fun Run on today. Steve ran the 5km event, 6th overall in 18:45, 1st in age category.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
