Big Weather Event Brewing ; Indoor Training ; Australian Masters Athletics Championships Mixed XC race
A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
Steve Leg Speed Intervals 6 x 200m ; Rain on Coast plus burning off with kerosine!!! 4 x 1km, 1 x 1 Mile Hill efforts
Steve ran an early leg speed set of 6 x 200m starting at 36 seconds, working down to 33 seconds. A delayed start to running for me with a high tide, rain and someone burning off or back burning with kerosine. Clouds of noxious fumes on the beach and golf course. I got a set done at noon and low tide with a fast tempo run down to the beaches and return including 4 x 1km efforts on the beach and a full gas steep hill one Mile effort back home. It was raining and they were still burning off vegetation with kero. 17km for the day.

How good was Cadel Evans - 2nd is a great start to the tour...But how bad was the spectator that (may) have been responsible for causing the awful stack in the early part of the race...
Bet you are so glad the tour is now underway...
Vive le Tour !!!
