Stromlo XC Intervals 3 x 800m, 1:30 recovery
Set with Steve on Thursday morning. Weather cool to warm, no wind. Grass had just been cut, still on the slow side.
The set: Warm up, 5 x 100m strides, 3 x 800m efforts, 1:30 recovery, warm down. Splits: 2:47,2:43,2:39. We were doing this set last year as six efforts and I got to 2:20s for the efforts. Today was all about getting the head in the groove for what will be a summer staple set.
I'm off to the coast on the weekend with Milli the Border Collie. I may run a Parkrun on Saturday to celebrate 15 years of parkrun, otherwise no sessions until Tuesday.
