Stromlo 800m/1500m Paced XC Intervals ; Keith 5 x 300m
Keith this morning found going tough in the rain, had to modify his set to 5 x 300m (56,55,55,54,59) all with 100m jog recovery.
I was 100km or more away from Keith, had to wait until late morning for the rain to clear off. Like Keith, the track was completely saturated, I had to modify my set. I could only find 140m dry enough to train on initially, improved to 300m by the time I was done.
The set: 2700m warm up, 14 x 140m (17s/100m), 5 x 300m (52,53,52,51,50), warm down including jog with Bella Border Collie at home, 13km in morning session. In afternoon 30 minute loosener. It turned out to be a good set after all.
No sets until I head to Europe on Friday, just a couple of long recovery runs.
