World Masters Athletics Championships 2018 : Recovery Day 1

A morning 2km jog to and from shops for food woke my legs up. I did 20 minutes stretching before leaving the hotel. Afternoon run was on WMA 10km course, 43 minutes including 4 x 100m strides. In between was the Vuelta cycling race was on TV, something to go to sleep to.

Next race is 10km road on Sunday. The race is all in mass start for the M35-69 at 9am, 10 minutes later for M70+and Women. If the course remains the same as in program it's a start and finish in main stadium, drag race along straight roads with hotdog turns until late in the race when there are with 20 corners to navigate to make the distance add up to 10km. There are no hills on course, there will be wind. It will be in the high 20s-low 30s, possibly a cloud.

It's a new race, there will be new fresh runners.
