Short Taper Intervals 3 x 500m, 3 x 45 seconds : Mont Ventoux

An afternoon short set of 3 x 500m efforts, 1 minute recovery followed by 3 short intervals of 45 seconds with equal duration recovery. Thursday and Friday easy running, just 11km. Saturday a 10km road race.

This evening I will be up late again watching Tour de France on the TV, a couple of laps over Mont Ventoux, one via Sault, the other via Bedoin. I've camped up there many nights in the car (2011,2013,2016),cycled up and run up both directions on the road, also through the forest full of deer. I ran from Bedoin to the altered finish at Chalet Reynard and return just hours before Porte crashed into the motor bike and Froome ran with no bike. Sault on market day was wonderful with music, food, etc. I've only spent a couple of hours in Malaucene (finish), just to buy groceries and have a walk. Bedoin is often busy, a haven for cyclists starting early for a ride to Ventoux before it gets too hot and the Mistral blows.
