Friday Pre-Parkrun Adventures Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB 2023 watching

Friday afternoon 3 hour drive up Brown Mountain to Jindabyne was an adventure. Recent storms and trees across the road as workers with chain saws cleared the way. In Jindabyne greeted by Ultra Trail runners completing their runs at what will be the Parkrun Start. I did a run on the Parkrun Course before heading up the road to Charlottes Pass at high altitude above the tree line, 1700m asl+. There were hundreds of runners on the edge of the road all safely directed by many road marshalls. Aside from the wind it was a great day for running until another huge thunderstorm rolled in late afternoon. Throughout the night and this morning very tired 100 miler entrants dribbling in, continuing now  and probably overlapping with Parkrun.
