Morning Run and Swim 16km : Diary of a Taper

I commenced my taper for Australian Masters Athletics Championships today. The morning run 16km, 4km less than yesterday. Today the course to the swimming beach with the dog, with water still warm, 22 degrees celsius. Return run in reverse, back up the hill slowly. It's very steep coming home in reverse direction. In the afternoon a set of short intervals to keep the legs ticking over. Set: 4x300m, 15 seconds recovery. Slow start building to 2:59/km. Splits(min/km)4:24,3:38,3:21,2:59.
