Parkrun Batemans Bay 2nd 17:16 ; Steve Parkrun Wagga 2nd 18:36

Lovely morning at Parkrun, 2nd in 17:16. I started faster today aiming at another PB. I couldn't do it losing 5 seconds to the previous week in the final 1500m. Matt came past in the last 200m, finishing one second ahead. My splits:(500m) 1:37,1:40,1:41,1:41,1:43,1:46,1:46,1:44,1:41,1:40. Plenty of splits around 3:20/km. A couple of short time trials this week, then try again for something close to 17 minutes. Steve in Parkrun Wagga ran 2nd in 18:36. Splits:9:36,9:30, foggy.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
