Glasshouse Rocks Beaches 12km(6 x 2km) Racing Munchkin and Milli the Border Collies ; Steve 5km 18:46

Very hot yesterday afternoon before rain and drizzle cooled things overnight. Munchkin and I ran 12km at Glasshouse Rocks Beaches as 6 x 2km Intervals on firm, fast sand at low tide with long recovery and sea puddle stops for Munchkin. We were joined by Milli the Border Collie after our set for some wave herding and an extended warm down. Steve ran a solid out and back 5km by the lake at his patch in 18:46 with splits 9:16 out and 9:30 back.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
