Not Parkrun 12.4km ; Thunderstorm Deluge ; Steve 1.85km Effort ; Glasshouse Rocks Beaches 3 x 1km

Heavy rain and wild thurderstorms for the last 24 hours, reduced to persistent rain this Morning. I had the car packed for Parkrun today, not possible to get there safely in these conditions. Instead the morning run from home 12.4km as fast as I could and stay upright, avoid dog walkers, all on Bike Path. This weather could last for days.Steve ran a 1.85km effort, some rain up the Coast too affecting his training. Some good fortune in the afternoon with the skies clearing to sunshine, Munchkin and I raced each other at Glasshouse Rocks at dead low tide, great running set of 3 x 1km on firm, fast sand, although rain clouds again gathering on the Hills. I expect more rain this evening.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
