All Terrain Intervals 13km ; Long Warm Down ; Whale Watching ; 800m Hill Time Trial

Big morning session of 13km on all terrain with Munchkin the Border Collie, starting with single track to Glasshouse Rocks Beaches, reversing back up to the headland and down to surf beach where we met up with Milli the Border Collie for herding waves and two loops of the Golf Course to finish at Surf Beach. Humpback whales were leaping out of the water at surf beach, Whale southerly migration season in full swing with new born calves in tow. Back at home more whale watching. In the afternoon an 800m Hill Time Trial.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
