Parkrun Panboola Wetlands DNS ; Not Parkrun 8.5km

Warm, sunny morning with some wind (both hot and cold) at Parkrun Panboola Wetlands. On the drive south debris was flying across the Road, I was prepared for the foul weather before I arrived. I ran a full 6km warm up before the start and gave up on the idea of running Parkrun 45 minutes before the start when the hot winds started picking up, I turned around and drove home. In the afternoon I ran a full gas 8.5km effort from home to make up for the lost morning. On Sunday I will be taking Milli and Munchkin the Border Collie's for runs early in the morning. Steve ran a set of 4 x 1km efforts at his patch, the fastest effort 3:13/km.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
