Not Beach Weather ; Glasshouse Rocks Beaches 2 x 2km ; Golf Course 2 x 1900m ; Whale Spotting ; Long Recovery Run

Yesterday afternoon warm and wonderful weather, the snakes and lizards all came out to play. Today cool and windy, great day for watching Humpback whales breach out of the water at the View point across the road. The morning run with Munchkin the Border Collie at Glasshouse Rocks Beaches (2 x 2km Intervals) on high tide cutting off access to some beaches. Met Milli the Border Collie on Cemetery Beach and after she finished herding waves we ran with her through the Golf Course (2 x 1.9km intervals). Back at home a walk across the road to the whale spotting View point to see Humpback Whales Breaching out of the water repeatedly in rough seas. In the afternoon a long recovery run.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
