Shortened Stage Albertville to La Plagne ; Rain Overnight ; Local Run 10km

Tour de France is almost winding down now with Nantua to Pontarlier the final stage before heading to Paris.Last evening the stage Albertville to La Plagne was reduced in distance to 95km due to a potential equine virus contamination?. Weather at the tour turned to rain during the stage and some riders looked very Tired and riding within themselves except Thymen Arensman who for the second time in this tour won the stage in a solo Break Away. It was also raining here overnight and into this morning. I ran a 4km warm up before heading out on my 10km hill Loop and with a slippery surface I reduced my speed as a precaution. Next stage is Nantua to Pontarlier. I've been to both Locations running to Nantua from Lac Genin doing a series of 4 x 6 minute efforts with short recovery and watch the Caravan Pass prior to the Tour de France stage at Mont du Chat when Richie Porte unfortunately crashed at high speed.
Pontarlier was an overnight stop with some easy running on the hills through a paddock with ponies to a small ski village and return.
