Hilly trails recovery run 21km

Sunday morning 21km recovery run in the arboretum on hilly forest trails, drizzling rain and cool, nice for running. After the run a rest on the lounge watching more Olympics in Tokyo. It's been 38 years since my only visit to Tokyo. Since then the stadium and track I raced on has been demolished and re-built on the same site. We are lucky to be in the same time zone, 1 hour difference.

Tomorrow completes 15 weeks of this 6 month base building training block. 120km this week despite low volume on Friday. With 2 months until track racing resumes I'll begin this week making a trip to the Australian Institute of Sport track. It will just be short 100-200m strides at first and patiently build the leg speed.
