Beach Intervals 4 x 1km with Milli and Munchkin the Border Collies ; 2 x One Mile Hill Efforts ; Pan Pacific Masters Games??



Munchkin and I arrived at the beach just before dawn. We heard Milli the Border Collie Herding waves at Surf Beach a kilometre away and met up with her on the beach for a set of 2 x 1km Beach Intervals. Munchkin and I continued the set on an adjacent beach with another 2 x 1km Intervals. Tide was out again, sand firm and very fast. After the running Milli and Munchkin had another Play Date back at Milli's home. I ran my usual 2 x One Mile Hill Efforts from Home. Long Warm down, 17km for the day.

Pan Pacific Masters Games??...There is a chance I will take part in the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast in November. It's mostly a social gathering with Athletics one of the sports. It's been on my radar for years and a friend contacted my yesterday. Early days but I am interested to make it happen.

A big weather event is brewing for much of my local area this afternoon and weekend. Up to 100mm predicted to fall with damaging winds. I've been through a few of these periods now. I've started setting up for indoor training. This morning a quick trip to the shop for supplies that the puppy will eat, another short run solo, and a short puppy training session of fetch the ball. I ran 80 minutes just before the weather arrived. Tassie Masters Athletics posted this video from the Australian Masters Athletics Championships mixed XC race a few days ago on their Youtube site. A great memory from such a great event.
