Stromlo XC 1500m Time Trial 4:45 : Steve 3 x 800m

Morning sessions at Stromlo XC circuits. Track still soft, slow and sandy. Wind from the south east. I ran a 1500m time trial in 4:45 (1:30,1:41,1:33) with a 10km warm down on forest trails. Steve had earlier run a set of 3 x 800m with 200m recovery (2:42,2:39,2:42). Lots of rain expected over the next 3 days, next hard effort will be Parkrun on Saturday unless I can squeeze something in between the weather.

Hi Bruce. A running friend sent me a link to your blog...great reading.
I've recently entered the 60 year Master's group also and chasing some "old man's" records.
So far I've managed to get the Tasmanian records for half marathon at the Sunshine Coast in 1:18.51 and a recent interclub 1500m race in 4:43.(but pulled up with hami trouble which has set me back a bit over the past few weeks.)
Ran a road race a few months ago in 34:33. and popping out a few low 17's for Parkruns.
Will you be running the Nationals in Brisbane and World's in Finland next year?
They will be my main focus...just too bad the World Cross in Bathurst has been set back another year. Cheers. Craig.
Hi Craig, Looks like you are running great. Nothing like a new age group for motivation. Yes definitely aiming for Brisbane and Tampere. You will be very competitive in both. Let's hope both go ahead and the logistics improve in coming months. Best wishes for remaining in top form and injury free when it counts most. Bruce
